RASA
RASA is a chain of Indian fast casual restaurants around the Washington, DC. Started by Rahul Vinod and Sahil Rahman in 2018, RASA has expanded to 5 locations since and is now known for ‘serving healthy and crave-worthy bowls using high quality ingredients made fresh in-house daily, serving up perennial favourites from samosas and in-house chutneys to sweet potato tikka and lamb kebabs,’ according to the popular publication, DC Eater.
The restaurant is also focused on supporting food access in the founders’ native India by providing funding for one bowl of food to an Indian child for every bowl they sell at their locations.
Telling The Story
As the first restaurant was under construction, Rahul and Sahil embarked on another adventure: three weeks traveling through India to create multiple videos and galleries highlighting the co-founders culinary roots, their motivations, as well as RASA’s philanthropic buy one/feed one model. They brought DJ from HERD along to tell the story.
